The Committee also wants to hear about the publicÕs experiences with lawyers and the courts on business-related matters. A brief survey can be filled out online at www.mobar.org/business. The barÕs Business Law Committee will study the responses and recommend possible changes in the law to the barÕs Board of Governors. Ê _______________________________________________ -- Florida group supports public notices in newspapers (Cape-Coral-Daily-Breeze.com) -- É We at Florida TaxWatch hold dear the independent and unfiltered manner of governmental entities placing public notices in local newspapers of record. É The fact of the matter is that online-only public notices would likely cost taxpayers more money. Taxpayers could be significantly harmed financially by online-only notifications of upcoming votes, tax increases and other expensive policies that could potentially fly under the radar. (A bill to move public notices from newspapers to websites reportedly has run out of steam in the Florida legislature for this year.)
